like,what type of motor is used for Paper Shredders.

Very likely to be a conventional high torque DC motor running on a gearbox to increase its shredding power. There will be a AC/DC inverter to convert the AC from the wall socket to DC to power the motor

I am making a wedding card gift box and want to make the box produce a paper shredder sound.?

I am making a wedding card gift box and want to make the box produce a Paper Shredder sound when people place their cards into it.

It is for a Halloween wedding. The box is actually a sort of haunted dollhouse. It is mostly built and would like some sort of contraption that will capture and reproduce the sound when a card is put it. I imagine a speak and a light beam breaking system. Any recommendations? Needs to be fairly simple as I am not too knowledgeable with electronics. Thanks.

I think it’s their cold war mentality combined with their unreasonable fear of technology that fuels this inexplicably strange phenomenon.
When they start shredding their grilled cheese sandwiches, though, it should be a red flag for all involved.

Do Paper Shredders require special oiling?

Paper Shredder instructions always advise the use of a special (and pricey) "shredder oil"? I never oil my scissors or my paper cutter and they seem to keep working for many years. Also, if oil is needed, wouldn’t vegetable oil suffice?

Just coat a piece of paper with WD-40 and run it through.I just did mine 10 minutes ago.However after the paper is run through i would get it out of the can or the smell of WD-40 will be lingering around a while.
